RJI CPAs is excited to announce the appointment of Manuel J. Ramirez as Treasurer and President Elect of the DFK USA Executive Committee. Ramirez was elected Treasurer and President Elect of the Board in 2023 and will be elevated to President in 2024.

DFK International is an association of independent accounting firms with 455 offices and 14,000 employees operating in 100 countries and territories. He and RJI will continue to serve international clients, accessing over 400 firms worldwide through DFK.

Ramirez is Chairman of the Board of RJI CPAs, an accountancy firm specializing in providing expertise and insights that help public, private and nonprofit organizations achieve their business goals. He served as President and CEO from 1993 until 2013 before being named Chairman.

“Manuel is a talented leader in the finance industry and DFK is fortunate to have him as part of our leadership team,” said DFK USA Executive Director Will Eckerson. “After his many years of dedication to DFK, he is well poised to help lead our organization.”

Ramirez began his career in public accounting in 1981 in Orange County, California. He has experience in international tax and consulting with financial agencies, governmental institutions, healthcare providers, publicly traded companies, real estate developers, nonprofit organizations, and privately held enterprises. He believes this opportunity will benefit his international clients by further developing relationships with the 455 tax offices in over 100 countries around the world.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Ramirez as a California Board of Accountancy member in 2007. In January 2010, Ramirez was elected President of the California Board of Accountancy. He is also very involved in the community, where he was co-founder and first Chairman of the board of the Hispanic 100 PAC, served as former Chairman and President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Orange County, was co-founder of the Orange County Catholic Foundation, and served as chapter co-founder of Legatus – to name just a few.

Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from California State University, Fullerton; a Master of Science in Tax Law from Golden Gate University; and is a Certified Public Accountant in California.

“It is an honor and a privilege to join the talented board of directors of DFK USA,” said Ramirez. I look forward to working with the team to help members achieve their financial goals.”
