Carlsbad Village Retail Leasing Continues to Flourish

Urban Property Group, a real estate services firm specializing in urban and coastal commercial properties, has secured multiple retail leases at Carlsbad Arcade in the Village, a retail center featuring more than 13,000 square feet of space. The newest tenants to the center include Village Florist Co., San Diego Golf Carts and Joey Snow Design Co.

Village Florist Co., owned by local florist Jolene Marquez who started the business during the pandemic, is expanding from her central San Diego location in the Morena District (alternatively named Bay Park Flowers) to North County coastal with 1,180 square feet of space.

“I am so grateful to UPG for helping us bloom and providing the opportunity to expand my business in the heart of Carlsbad Village,” says Marquez. “This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of my team, as well as the unwavering support of our amazing customers. With this expansion, we can bring the beauty of nature to even more people and I couldn’t be more thrilled.”

Another local retailer, Carlsbad Golf Carts, will be opening its second location in Carlsbad, occupying 1,250 square feet. The company, which provides top-of-the-line street-legal and non-street-legal golf carts and e-bikes for rent and sale, has another store in La Jolla.

The third company, Joey Snow Design Co., a full-service interior design company, has also leased space in the Arcade. The company’s Carlsbad Village space is 1,060 square feet and serves as a consultation space and showroom, featuring items from the firm’s collection to peruse in person.

“The Carlsbad Arcade is an ideal locale for my business as I am a long-time resident of the coastal community and provide services throughout Southern California and beyond,” says Joey Snow, founder of Joey Snow Design Co. “UPG provided great resources and assets to facilitate the lease of this space and I’m grateful to their team.”

The Carlsbad Arcade is a unique mix of restaurant, retail and office tenants on the corner of Grand Avenue and Roosevelt Street. The property sits just a few blocks from the beach and train station.

Serena Patterson and Luke Holler of Urban Property Group represented both the tenants and landlord Carlsbad One, LLC, in these transactions.

“Interest for leasing in coastal San Diego is healthy,” says Patterson. “Tenants desire the walkability and foot traffic that residents and tourists alike bring to the area. North County Coastal is thriving and attracting retailers from all over the county to relocate and expand.”
