San Diego-based law firm Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek announced today that Gilson B. Gray joined the firm’s Litigation Department as of counsel.
A seasoned trial lawyer, Gray has extensive experience in the courtroom and is a polished and skilled advocate. His practice focuses on a variety of civil litigation and white-collar defense areas including appellate matters. He has successfully tried over 40 cases to jury verdict and resolved thousands of cases through negotiations, pretrial briefings and investigations.
Prior to joining SCMV, Gray worked as a deputy public defender in San Diego defending clientsfacing misdemeanor and felony criminal charges and minors in juvenile proceedings. He alsospecialized in appellate matters, representing clients seeking post-conviction relief.
Gray is an active member of the San Diego County Bar Association and Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He also serves on the Southwestern Yacht Club Board of Directors.
Gray received his law degree from Emory University School of Law, where he served on the Emory Law Journal and received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Property. He earned hisbachelor’s degree in English from Vassar College.
