Brixton Capital, a private real estate investment firm, has hired Jim Hamilton as Vice President, Acquisitions. His primary duties include oversight of and coordination of the firm’s real estate acquisitions and dispositions, as well oversight of the acquisitions team.
Hamilton most recently served as Vice President of Acquisitions and Investment Management for Monday Properties. While there, he played a critical role in the launch of the firm’s Los Angeles office, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating and capitalizing the firm’s West Coast investments and overseeing the successful implementation of the firm’s investment strategies and the operations of its Southern California properties.
“With nearly 25 years of broad-based experience in commercial real estate and finance, as well as four years of service in the United States Marine Corps, Jim is well suited to source, evaluate and execute our investments,” says Marc Brutten, founder and Chairman of Brixton Capital.
While serving in the United States Marine Corps as a Platoon Commander, Hamilton participated in Operation Desert Storm. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he obtained a degree in Economics and Finance. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of NAIOP San Diego.
