Estate Planning Attorney Nicholas Hulwi Joins Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek

The San Diego-based law firm of Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek announces that Nicholas D. Hulwi has joined the firm’s Estate Planning Practice Group as of counsel.

Hulwi focuses his practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning and IRS audits. He has extensive experience in complex tax planning, transfer tax return preparation and drafting wills and trusts for a wide range of clients, including high-net worth individuals and closely held businesses.

Prior to joining SCMV, Hulwi worked as an attorney at Best & Flannagan in the firm’s Private Wealth Planning section. Before that, he worked as an estate and gift tax attorney with the IRS where he served as the lead attorney for gift-related captive insurance issues.

In addition, Hulwi is a Certified Valuation Analyst by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts.

He received a legal master’s in taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law, his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in finance, cum laude, from Minnesota State University.

He is admitted to practice in California, Minnesota, Nevada and North Dakota.
